Conference Keynote Speech: How to Maximise the Power of Twitter

Last week I spoke about how to maximise the power of social media (in particular Twitter) at the FSB National Conference in Glasgow to the team of FSB Regional Development Managers and Connectors. I had the mission of encouraging the group to create as much buzz on the event hashtag (#FSBConf) as possible to get it trending  – which it did. Multiple times!

I love a good hack and this one is awesome! This Twitter hack allows you to find your email contacts on Twitter and follow them without having to pay for Twitter follow ads. This is a great way of boosting your Twitter followers with your actual customers. Getting your customers to follow you on Twitter is great as it brings them closer to you so they can get to know you, trust you and like you which means they will hopefully come back and buy from you again.

How to automatically share your Instagram images natively to Twitter (with IFTTT)

If you love time hacks then you will love IFTTT (If This Then That). Trust me it’s worth checking out. When I discovered this tool I got very excited and spent hours on the website exploring everything you can do with it.

IFTTT allows you to set up ‘recipes’ which means when a specific action is carried out another action is automatically triggered. A huge time saver when it comes to social media management.
